Technician for Production and Testing (f/m/d) in full time

For our Munich office, we are looking for a Technician for Production and Testing (f/m/d) in full time.

Autonomous manufacture of core components for cryogenic equipment:
  • Assemble cryostats and vacuum equipment using screws, screwdrivers, wrenches, torque keys, tweezers, etc.
  • Solder cables, electrical connectors, small PCBs sometimes using the microscope
  • Glue plastic and metal parts using varnish and epoxy resin
  • Wind coils from superconducting wire
  • Carry out a detailed and sound documentation and quality reporting of all manufacturing tasks
  • Report technical and organizational issues to the Development and Production/Procurement divisions
Management tasks that will ensure constant improvement of our engineering and supply chain:
  • Assistance in the installation and testing of scientific instrumentation
  • Help our hardware development team to assemble, re-configure, and operate our prototype cryostats
  • Carry out test measurements and providing a detailed and sound documentation of the test results
  • Prepare and carry out tests of new equipment and components e.g., new stepper motors, pumps, control electronics, etc. to accelerate the transition from the prototyping to the product phase
  • Successfully completed training as precision mechanic, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, optician, dental technician, watch maker, micro technologist, physics laboratory technician, physical technical assistant, or similar technical training
  • Pleasure in practical, hands-on work
  • Thorough, structured working method
  • Eye for detail
  • Programming and assembly skills to design and build simple test setups for scientific instrumentation
  • English spoken and written
